Top 10 Oracle Decks of 2024

Top 10 Oracle Decks of 2024

The Top 10 Oracle Decks of 2024 is originally a video I posted on my YouTube channel but I wanted to make a written version too for accessibility and preference differences! If you would like to see the original video check out Top 10 Oracle Decks of 2024.

I also did a Top 10 Tarot Decks of 2024 video with a matching blog post and then a Top Deck Pairings of 2024 as well!

So just like the tarot, when making this list of my top oracle decks of 2024 here are the things I considered:

  • which decks I used the most
  • what were the stand out decks this year
  • which were the most reliable
  • what decks was I just excited to use
  • best decks to read for others with
  • best decks for myself
  • which deck gave the best reading
  • which deck can I not stop thinking about

To figure this out I looked back through my photos, videos, journals and anything else I had to kind of look over my year. I did make it so that all the decks had to be frequently used through at least a large portion of the year so it was fair. I also only put Outgrow Yourself & Extraordinary Incantation on this list and to be honest the oracle video was much harder this year than the tarot.

So all things considered, these are my top 10 oracle decks of 2024 starting from 10 and working my way down to my number 1.

10. Color Vision Oracle Deck was my most used oracle deck for others this year being the perfect add on to any reading, which a lot of people did. This deck tied with Thistledown Oracle Deck for the most chosen deck by others for the tarot readings I offer here on the website. Not only that but it was the one I was most excited to pair up, I've never had so many decks to pair something with before. It is so unique and really made a big impact on my practice and collection this year. I am really excited to dive deeper into its energy because this guidebook is filled with such good information and I am also subscribed to the creators substack this year to get even more information from it!

9. Spread Crafter Oracle Deck is a gem in my collection and though I didn't spend as much time with it this year as I usually do it's a one of a kind. I love this deck for all its intended purposes but also my favorite way to use it which is to have little back and forth like conversations with it (I go over what I mean by this in the Ways I work with my decks Video) That practice led to a lot of big moments for me this year that really stood out and so even though it might have been used less the quality of use was more.

8. Reclaim Oracle Deck is another top tier oracle deck and just like the previous two it brings such a specific value to my collection because it's very uniquely its own. I used this deck in an emotional pinpointing practice that I did through out the year and will continue to do as years go on because it is just sooo good. I paired it up with Poesis Oracle Deck for that practice but also was a part of a larger pair up with some of my other favorites this year making is just a well used and loved deck this year. I am very excited for the next edition of this deck which I will have in the shop very soon!

7. Poesis Oracle Deck, yep the one I just mentioned is next on the list and you know what there's a theme here, I love unique decks. This one in particular has poems paired with each card instead of a traditional meaning and it's even better than you can imagine with 77 cards in this deck. The art is this funky cool kinda thing that I love and paired with open up your soul poems I am sold. I paired it up, and used it in different practices. It inspired me to read and write and I was smitten.

6. Gaia Lessons from the Earth Oracle Deck I feel like is more of an oracle deck in the traditional sense where it's a keyword paired with a guidebook meaning but don't let that fool you. The art work is to die for stunning, watercolor art at its finest and you know how much I love this very specific kind of art. Nature watercolor is my kryptonite and this is one of my all time favorites. I was blown away this year by this deck.

5. Phases & Forests Oracle Deck is like you rang? Did you say your favorite nature watercolor decks? Yes I did and I couldn't have that conversation without talking about at least one of Kat's decks. This one took my attention immediately and has fallen right into a regular spot in my practice. This is easily one of my most used decks of the year and it's because it is exactly that, so easy to use. I can add it into my journaling practice. I can pull a card a day and reflect. I can intentionally choose one I want to work with for the moon phase. Whatever I want and it's as simple or as complicated as I want to make it.

4. Thistledown Oracle Deck was tied for my most used oracle deck for others but it also took up a huge spot on my personal list too. I ended up pairing it with Heartwood Tarot Deck and Oak, Ash & Thorn Tarot Deck making it the trio of dreams and used it a ton. I will never stop going on a rant about Adam's art and how him and Stephanie created my favorite animal/creature decks ever. This oracle deck is perfect and I can remember specific readings every time I see the cards because they just stand out, like the grief card, oof. Well deserved and this deck could have easily been a 1 if it wasn't going against my literally starter pack 3 decks.

3. Iris Oracle Deck starts off the "Casandra Starter Pack" with a bang because if you know Iris you love it. A 78 card oracle deck that has fan girls (yes I am and will always be a Mary Evans Deck fan girl 😂) Iris has a way of encompassing the spectrum of human experience but at the same time being this mythical creature that sees past humans into the fabric of the universe. What did I just say, who knows but if you do know this deck you know somehow that makes sense. It's an oracle deck in the traditional sense of you pull a card and read your meaning but it's funky and cool in the way that it's not trying to be anything other than itself and Iris is so it's own thing.

Before I go on I must say the next two I almost couldn't choose between. These are my babies. My top 2 decks of the year, not just oracle but my most used decks over both lists and maybe even combined. I purposely made it just on the oracle list so I didn't have them in the top 2 on both even though they function as tarot and oracle decks. They are everyday kind of decks for me and you don't think of me probably without thinking of these two.

2. Extraordinary Incantations Oracle & Tarot Deck is the sweet one of the two. My best friend who will tell me the truth but does it with love and probably over a coffee. I think of a deck I can trust to pull from no matter what my mood and here you go. The one deck I could pull from in my darkest of moments this year. It was almost number 1 but I think realistically it comes in second in number of times used and I had to get technical to separate the two. I think this deck is so special and it's one I'd recommend to anyone. It is a perfect trusted companion, a deck I can always depend on and made in the best pocket size. Not only that but omg I paired it with the Gentle Tarot Pocket Tin and almost overloaded with love and cuteness. A perfect pair in all ways and there is nothing I feel I couldn't hear with a pair like that.

1. Outgrow Yourself Oracle & Tarot Deck is next up and there are not words to explain why this deck but I do my best. This is the opposite in a lot of ways. It's not a deck I would recommend to everyone but the people it is for I think it is REALLY for. This deck is more like the best friend who will tell it to you straight and it might hurt your feelings but you know they have seen you at your best and your worst and you trust no one more. Ride or die. I am regularly humbled by this deck but also the more loving cards feel so earned and delightful when I get them. It's a go to, a deck I can always figure out what it's trying to say to me. I have full conversations with this deck, big readings, small readings, anything everything. Half my journal is this deck. I don't know it is just my deck. It's weird and funky and pushes me past my comfort zone and the light fluffy places into something more honest and true. Also that 4 way deck pair of it, Elvine, Lilifer & Reclaim is to die for.
